Knitters at Lawrence Area School
Clare Blackmore is a Year 5–6 teacher at Lawrence Area School, a small rural school in Otago. In just four short weeks, the school's enthusiastic young knitters have been learning the basics of knitting during their lunch breaks. With determination, patience, and plenty of practice, they have worked together to create beautiful woollen blankets for PKC!

Nikki’s Story of Four Preemies
Nikki is a long time supporter of PKC, regularly sending beautiful blankets. We always know they're Nikki's as they are always knitted or crocheted in bright colours and it's been a joy to have her as part of our community throughout the years. Nikki is a proud mum to four preterm children, two of which had stays in NICU and SCBU and she tells her story ahead of World Prematurity Day.

Evie’s Story

2025 Winter Campaign is here!
From May until August 2025, we are encouraging as many knitting donations as possible. At PKC, we promote and accept knitting all year however there is always a high demand over the winter months.
