Here at Premmie Knitting Club, every stitch is a gift of comfort, hope and kindness to families on a neonatal journey. Whether you’re a seasoned knitter or just picking up your needles for the first time, your handmade items support premature and unwell babies across New Zealand and Australia.
How does it work?
It’s simple! You knit hats, booties, blankets and garments especially designed for premmie babies (check out our pattern list for ideas), then send them to us. Our amazing volunteers collect, sort and package your donations, making sure each one is delivered to a neonatal unit or family who needs a little extra warmth.
What happens next?
If you choose to send your items to one of Premmie Knitting Clubs Hubs, once your creations arrive, we’ll make sure they’re matched with families and units who need them right now. Along with essential equipment and supplies, your knitting makes a real difference, one tiny knit at a time.

We have a range of postage and drop-off locations listed below. Please only drop off finished knitted items to the hospitals listed.
If you have Peggy squares, please have a look at our list of seperate drop-off locations listed here. This enables us to sew them up before sending to the hospitals. Thanks again for your support!
