Why Peggy Squares
A Peggy square is a knitted square, typically measuring 15 x 15cm. These squares are sewn together to create blankets.
Peggy squares are an excellent starting point for beginner knitters, as the project is simple and manageable in size—perfect for learning basic stitches and techniques without tackling complex patterns or large items.
Making Peggy squares allows new knitters to practise skills, build confidence, and contribute to a worthy cause, with individual squares later joined to form the finished blanket.
