Supporting Middlemore Hospital
From fundraising to impact
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, we have raised $25,000 to purchase essential equipment for neonatal units across Aotearoa. We’re thrilled to share the story of one of the purchases we’ve made with your support: an adjustable baby bath for Middlemore Hospital in South Auckland, one of the country’s busiest units.
Making a Difference at Middlemore
Middlemore Hospital’s NICU identified a need for an adjustable baby bath, and PKC was proud to fund the purchase.
The bath has already been very well received by the team, and babies are already using it. The NICU has told us there is a need for two more baths, highlighting just how valuable this equipment is.
The adjustable design makes bathing easier and more comfortable for both healthcare workers and parents, while its simple design also makes it easy to use and clean.
Michelle and Courtney recently visited the hospital’s NICU, where they met with Clinical Nurse Manager, Karen Neal and Julia from the Middlemore Foundation. They talked us through the purchase and shared how much the bath is already being used and what a difference it makes to the team and the families they care for.
We are incredibly proud to be able to support neonatal units with practical, useful equipment that makes a real difference to babies, parents and healthcare workers.
